Field Notes
The day that I found the Common Periwinkle it was Oct 4, 2018 and around 60 degrees and cloudy. There were around 5 groups working in the Coastal area around the beach all spread out into select areas. The spot where I found the Periwinkle was very rocky and contained a lot of tide pools. Next to this spot was also a walking trail just over the rocks and also a lot of trees with a small amount of light. The Common Periwinkle was next to a many other Periwinkles and was found on the edge of a small tide pool. In this specific area there was a lot of Common Periwinkles along with many grabs and other species.
