Field Notes
We are happy because we found the red maple tree.
We could hear and smell dirt and leaves.
We thought we found the black swallow wort because we found a plant with similar leaves but on this plant there were no flowers or seedpods.
Supporting Evidence
Red maple leaf has three lobes and the leaf that we found has three lobes.
It has a red stem and our species card says that it should.
