What a great tool! I could see this being very helpful to simultaneously help students pick the right way to visualize their data, but also to help them narrow down their question and how they want to answer it (which is often the hard part!) While not a stand alone tool I can see this as being invaluable anytime students are using graphs to visualize statistics, but also in helping to hit the following:

NGSS - MS-LS2-1. Analyze and interpret data to provide evidence for the effects of resource availability on organisms and populations of organisms in an ecosystem.

MLR CCSS 7.SP.B - Use random sampling to draw inferences about a population
MLR CCSS 6.SP.A - Develop understanding of statistical variability 6.SP.B Summarize and describe distributions
MLR CCSS 8.SP.A - Investigate patterns of association in bivariate data
