Submit to Findings from the Field and participate in a community of young researchers

Students from eight schools from across the state are sharing their research through Findings from the Field: a Middle School Journal of Scientific Research and it is not too late for your students to participate, too! We will be accepting new submissions through mid-May.

Research topics already submitted include changes populations of green crabs at Reid State Park and Popham Beach, foraging behavior in birds, the health of local watersheds, changes in precipitation in Maine in our rapidly changing climate, and more! You can find all submitted articles in the Vital Signs Project bank.

Student contributors are connecting across schools as they conduct peer review and share thinking on each other's investigations. Check out this exchange between Bath and Falmouth students.
