22 Species Cards by King Middle School students

70+ students at King Middle School in Portland, Maine worked together to build 22 species cards for the Vital Signs community! This was the culminating project for their spring Alien Invaders Expedition.

What incredible work! Check out the great Creative Commons-licensed photos they found, the detailed sketches they made, and the species research they did.

These cards will undergo an expert review process before appearing in our official library of species cards: http://vitalsignsme.org/species-identification-resources

I don't know how else to put it. Wow. I am truly impressed with all of the effort you guys put into creating these amazing species cards. Species cards are not easy to make, but you guys have done a truly spectacular job. Each card has been created thoughtfully and carefully. The information is all amazing! I love the great variety in the type of cards you guys have made -- all types of species from all around the State of Maine from alewives to rock snot to kudzu. You have hit some key species that should be addressed throughout the state. Thanks for all of your hard work! I hope to see more species cards from all of you. Take a look at what we already have (http://vitalsignsme.org/species-identification-resources) and submit some new ones to us! They would be greatly appreciated.

Keep up the great work, and thanks for everything! I hope to see more species cards and species observations from all of you guys!! Awesome job!
